Bay Cove Academy in Massachusetts is seeking a licensed Special Education teacher for middle and high school students within a trauma-informed, therapeutic day school. Bay Cove Academy is a therapeutic day school that specializes in trauma-informed services for students ages 12-22 with complex trauma histories, mental health issues, educational challenges, and/or behavioral difficulties. Bay Cove Academy offers students a supportive environment that addresses their education, clinical, pre-vocational, recreational and behavioral needs. Individual, group, nursing, and milieu counseling are provided.
Bay Cove Academy is seeking a highly organized and professional candidate to serve as a licensed Special Education teacher with experience teaching middle and high school aged students. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and have experience teaching content area subjects while utilizing and applying the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with students in a clinically appropriate manner while maintaining a challenging learning environment. Experience working with students in an alternative school setting is preferred. Bay Cove Academy uses an interdisciplinary approach working collaboratively with the educational, clinical, nursing, and vocational departments.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $52,000 to $94,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
