Job summary

Boothby Therapy Services is actively hiring Special Education Teachers across Vermont for the 2026–2027 school year. We partner with school districts statewide to match candidates with roles in Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School settings, including self-contained and life-skills programs.

We emphasize a personalized placement process, ongoing support, and strong district partnerships to ensure educators find the right fit and meaningfully impact student success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field (required).
  • Valid Vermont Special Education teaching certification or eligibility.
  • Experience in special education settings preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals and educational needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
  • Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices.
  • Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Foster inclusive, supportive learning environments that promote student success.
