Job summary

Antelope Valley Learning Academy is seeking a Paraprofessional to support educators in a specialized program. Work hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday–Friday, with compensation $20.60–$30.90 per hour depending on education.

You will assist with tutoring, data entry, and sign language interpretation to help diverse students grow. The role requires a high school diploma or two years of college (48 units) or an associate degree, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or two years of college completed.
• Experience with students, including diverse or at-risk populations.
• Experience in education for individuals with special needs is preferred.
• Sign language interpreter qualifications if providing interpretation.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to translate communications.

Responsibilities

• Assist educators in instructional duties and general responsibilities.
• Provide tutoring support and sign language interpretation as needed.
• Complete paperwork and data entry for students in the program.
• Coordinate meetings, scheduling, and parent communications as required.
• Support program implementation and student learning plans.
