Job summary

You will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance, guide teachers and administrators, and participate in IEP and eligibility meetings, with an immediate start and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Michigan Special Education certification and School Administrator Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of Michigan special education law and IDEA regulations.
• Experience coordinating or leading special education programs.
• Experience with My STAR IEP preferred.
• Knowledge of IEP compliance, evaluations, and due process procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the high school special education program.
• Ensure compliance with Michigan special education laws, regulations, and IDEA requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to special education teachers, related service providers, and administrators.
• Monitor IEP development, implementation, and compliance timelines.
• Utilize and support staff with the My STAR IEP program.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and manifestation determination reviews.
• Review special education documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with school leadership, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with program development, compliance monitoring, and staff training.
