Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an On-Call Substitute Teacher for its Special Education team. You will deliver instruction, follow state standards, and maintain a structured classroom environment to support diverse learners.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in education, OH substitute credential (in process acceptable), and crisis management training eligibility. Experience in SPED is preferred, with collaboration across staff to meet student goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or a closely related field is required.
• Ohio substitute teaching credential, currently held or in process.
• OH intervention specialist credential preferred.
• Experience in special education or behavioral health settings is desirable.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction using provided curriculum to ensure continuity of learning.
• Implement daily lesson plans and schedules reflecting standards and routines.
• Maintain a safe, structured learning environment with clear behavior expectations.
• Support diverse learners with accommodations and modifications.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure consistent instructional delivery.
• Monitor student progress through observation and data collection.
• Communicate with parents about student progress and needs.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.
