Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Criminal background check completed as per WV Code.
• Competency test as required by WV Code.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with planning, preparation, and materials.
• Conduct learning activities with students following established procedures.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with the Employee Code of Conduct.
• Maintain a safe learning environment for students.
• Assist with supervision of children on buses when applicable.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to reinforce skills.
• Attend in-services and workshops as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to FERPA regulations.
• Assist with supervision in classrooms, cafeteria, playground and bus areas.
