• Attend training as required by the district.
• Work under the direction of the Structured Learning Classroom Teacher.
• Communicates with supervising instructional staff, and a variety of health care professionals, and professional support personnel for the purpose of communicating progress and/or implementing IEP objectives.
• Provide personal care to students.
• Accompany students to and from school activities, indoor and outdoor, and participate in activities as directed.
• Supervises individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
• Possess the ability to stoop, kneel, lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Assist students up/down steps and stairs and in/out of vehicles. Possess the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Maintain student confidentiality.

POSITION TITLE: Special Education Stuctured Learning Classroom Paraprofessional K-2

FLSA: Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:60 hours of verified college credit or successful completion of the Paraprofessional Praxis.

REPORTS TO: Principal and/or other Supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day contract.
