Job Description

08/11/2026: We are still urgently seeking a candidate to join us for the 2026-27 school year.

State of Iowa teaching license with K-6 Instructional Strategist I: Mild/Moderate endorsement required.

Candidate will need to complete both written and physical components of Nonviolent Crisis Prevention (CPI) training provided by district upon hire.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and enthusiasm to work with students at the designated level.
• Ability to create and maintain healthy relationshipswith students, staff, parents and community.
• Ability to provide instruction to effectively meet the needs of all students.
• Ability to effectively implement multiple teaching methods (co-teaching, small group, differentiation, etc).
• Knowledge and ability to implement the Iowa Teaching Standards.
• Knowledge of special education, section 504 and MTSS process.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to effectively use technology for instruction, communication and data management.
• Ability to effectively engage in professional growth individually and with collaborative teams.
• Ability to implementfederal, state and district goals with students.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and Department of Iowa regulations.
• Knowledgeof Federal rights, Privacy Act and other civil rights regulations.
