Job summary

Douglas County School District seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to serve students in special education (K-21) across school settings. The SLP will assess, provide intervention, and collaborate to design IEPs aligned with GVCs to promote academic growth, social communication, and positive behavior.

Applicants must hold a Masters in Speech Pathology and a Colorado SLP license; CCC-SLP is preferred. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position at Legacy Point Elementary, with a typical 40-hour week

Qualifications

• Masters in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Colorado School Speech Language Pathologist license required.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities with clear objectives.
• Document health-related services in Medicaid and district systems.
• Integrate technology to provide diverse learning materials.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment sessions and progress.
• Supervise SLP-A staff when CCCs with ASHA are held.
• Manage classroom behavior per school policies.
• Organize and implement instructional programs to support academic growth.
• Support student counseling, meetings, and extracurricular activities as needed.
