Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
• Pass the State Assessment for Para Educators or hold higher education/credits.
• AA degree or higher or the specified college credits.
• Completed apprenticeship as a para educator or registered with WSATC.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one instruction to students and small group support as assigned by the teacher.
• Assist with classroom supervision and supervision of students in and out of the classroom.
• Support the instructional program and implement IEP requirements.
• Maintain records of student progress and communicate with the teacher.
