Position

Special Education Resource Paraprofessional - Multiple Positions

School: To Be Determined

Position Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year

Position Days/Hours: Student contact days; 6.5 paid hours/day; Days and Times TBD

Salary: $23.72/hr. (Tier 5)

Responsible To: Special Education Supervisor and Building Principal

Position Purpose

To work under the direction of a certified special education teacher in supporting students on Individual Education Plans (IEPs). This position must also demonstrate understanding of individual and unique characteristics of students with disabilities and assist them with their special education needs.

Education/Certification Requirements

Associate's degree, at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (a minimum of 60 semester credits), or a passing score on a required ParaEducator assessment within 60 days of hire.

Benefits

Eligible for benefits as negotiated between Student Support Staff (MSEA Association) and District 112. This position is eligible for overtime and comp time.
