Job summary

Augusta County Public Schools is seeking a Full-Time Special Education Instructional Aide for the Resource Classroom at Stewart Middle School, located at 118 Fort Defiance Road, Fort Defiance, VA 24437. This 7.5-hour/183-day position reports to the classroom teacher and principal.

The salary range is $22,039–$23,194 with full benefits, including retirement and health insurance. The aide will support instructional delivery, classroom management, and collaboration on IEPs and student needs.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Candidate must possess good moral character.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering instructions to students.
• Follow instructional plans as designated by the classroom teacher and IEPs.
• Prepare and develop teaching aids and materials.
• Assist students individually and in groups to reinforce concepts.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment and supervise students.
