Qualifications

• Master's degree in SPED or related field is required.
• Level 3 PreK-12 SPED license required.
• NMPED Level 3B PreK-12 Administrative License or eligible within 3 months from hire.
• At least 10 years public-school experience in SPED with 2+ years in leadership/administrative role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to design and implement programs.
• Ensure SPED programs comply with IDEA, state, and local regulations.
• Develop and maintain IEPs in accordance with legal requirements.
• Provide training and professional development for SPED staff.
• Monitor student progress and assess program effectiveness.
• Serve as liaison between SPED staff, general education, parents, and agencies.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate student progress records.
