Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and supervision in assigned aspects of the District Special Education Program.
• Plan with principals, teachers, and administrative staff to develop and implement a program designed to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
• Coordinate the development of all Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students receiving special education services.
• Maintain information and liaison with other agencies and individuals providing services to students with disabilities.
• Assist in monitoring district programs for children with disabilities to ensure compliance with policies and guidelines.
