Job summary

Del Valle Independent School District is seeking a Special Education Coordinator to lead coordination of special education programs and staff. You will oversee ARD processes, ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations, and guide instructional leadership across campuses.

You will provide professional development, monitor services, collaborate with administrators, and advance inclusive practices to meet students' IEP goals and improve outcomes district-wide.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas Special Education Certification.
• Principal or Mid Management certificate (preferred).
• Satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead special education staff.
• Monitor and support campuses in special education services.
• Lead ARD meetings as LEA representative.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations in SPED.
• Improve instructional programs and materials for students with disabilities.
• Provide professional development for SPED staff.
