Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
• Indiana State Teacher's License eligibility or licensure
• 2 years of teaching experience
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with families and students
• Experience developing and implementing curriculum
• Physical ability to move around the classroom
• Proven ability to maintain a safe classroom environment
• Ability to develop age-appropriate curriculum

Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum to meet developmental goals and instructional activities
• Post syllabus, projects/lessons, and grades to the server accessible to students, parents, and the community
• Maintain a classroom environment consistent with codes of conduct and conducive to learning
• Use rubric-based authentic assessments to evaluate progress and adapt programs
• Communicate with families and staff about student progress
• Provide progress reports as required
• Communicate electronically with students, parents, and staff about progress, attendance, and behavior
• Attend conferences and workshops for professional growth
• Collaborate with other staff to improve instructional programs
• Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful classroom and school environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
