Onslow County Public Schools in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an Exceptional Children Personal Care Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will assist teachers and therapists in daily classroom activities for children with disabilities. A high school diploma is required, and preference is given to candidates with an Associate's Degree. The position involves supporting students with personal care, mobility, and safety, promoting ethical behavior, and maintaining confidentiality. This is a 10-month position with grade 53 salary.

Qualificações

• Ability to assist students with personal care and mobility needs.
• Willingness to pursue an AA degree if not already obtained.
• Must obtain ETTP course completion to qualify for promotion.

Responsabilidades

• Assist teachers and therapists with classroom activities.
• Support student management and discipline.
• Monitor student safety and well-being in all school areas.

Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations

Knowledge of the care necessary for individuals with disabilities

Ability to work with disabled children

Ability to relate to and interact with disabled children

Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information

Ability to work cooperatively with other school personnel

Formação académica

High school diploma earned at a regionally accredited school

Two year Associate's Degree preferred
