Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality and accurate records of students with disabilities.
• Assist in supervising students inside and outside the classroom, including lunchroom and playground.
• Support the teacher with materials, copying, and confidential folders.
• Assist students with individual tasks including mobility, positioning, feeding, and personal hygiene as directed.
• Support behavior management and crisis intervention under supervision.
• Adapt to each student’s needs through in-service and teacher direction.
• Prepare materials and work with students in small groups to develop instructional skills.
• Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of students.
• Uphold school rules and district policies; participate in staff development.
• Assist with general classroom duties and events as assigned.
