Job summary

Irving ISD is seeking a Special Education (PASS) Aide for Irving HS in Irving, Texas. The role supports a certified teacher, providing for the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities and assisting with classroom programs and personal care needs.

The position is nonexempt, grant-funded and notes duty to work under the principal's supervision with a wage range of $15.07 to $22.35 per hour, 192 days per year. Starting date is to be determined.

Qualifications

• Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate and a high school diploma or GED are required.
• Experience working with children/students or persons with disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to work well with children with disabilities and follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of student information and records.
• Assist in supervising students throughout the day inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist with personal care tasks and with behavioral management as directed.
