Accel seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with diverse needs in a structured classroom in Tempe, AZ. You will work closely with the teacher, one-on-one or in small groups, to assist with learning, behavior and daily activities.

Responsibilities include data collection for IEPs, assisting with lessons and transitions, and helping with personal care and meal routines. A compassionate, dependable candidate will thrive here.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Background check required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning, communication, physical, and behavioral needs.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students as directed.
• Maintain a structured, hands-on classroom environment.
• Assist with personal hygiene and meal preparation as needed.
• Take notes on progress and observations for IEP documentation.
• Collaborate with the teacher on lesson plans and paperwork.
• Assist with transitions between activities and classes.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of instructional materials; may lift up to 50 pounds.
