Job summary

Valley View Public School District is seeking a full-time Special Education Program Paraprofessional for the 2026/2027 school year at Bolingbrook High School. Under supervision, the paraprofessional supports student development across educational, functional, and social areas for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities include assisting with academics, transitions, IEP-driven supports, materials preparation, progress records, and collaboration with teachers to implement classroom

Qualifications

• Minimum valid Illinois Professional Educator License with stipulations, endorsed for Paraprofessional Educator
• Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent with 30 hours of college coursework
• Experience with Google Suite or similar software helpful

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academic tasks and functional skills
• Supervise students during transitions and activities per IEPs
• Provide academic, functional, and behavioral support per IEPs
• Assist with communication, scheduling, and curriculum adaptations
• Maintain records of student progress and assist with instructional materials
