Job summary

American Leadership Academy is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year at the Sierra Vista High School campus. The role involves assisting with IEPs, supporting the SPED teacher, and promoting a positive classroom environment for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction with adaptations, providing small group or 1:1 support, documenting progress, and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Support the SPED Teacher with delivering instruction and adapting materials.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and promote student engagement.
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance as needed.
• Observe and document student progress and report to the SPED Teacher.
• Collaborate with SPED and general education staff to support cohesive student learning.
• Encourage social interactions and help students build friendships.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and resources for activities.
• Maintain communication with parents/guardians regarding progress.
