Job summary

Partners in Special Education is seeking an instructional aide in Pasadena, CA to support IEP goals through small-group instruction and behavior support. You will assist in implementing academic activities, maintain records, and communicate with team members across districts.

The starting pay range is $17.50–$20.25 per hour, depending on experience. CBEST preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent with 48 college units is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of college (48 units) or AA degree required.
• CBEST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Confers with the IEP team on a regular basis to assist in evaluating student progress and implementing IEP objectives.
• Implements instructional activities designed by a teacher for individuals or small groups to meet learning goals.
• Implements behavioral plans designed by the IEP team to assist in meeting student needs and provide a consistent environment.
• Instructs students in math, reading, science, etc., to implement goals for remediation of deficiencies.
• Maintains instructional materials and student files/records for reliability.
• Monitors students to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
• Performs data recording and clerical tasks to support the teacher.
• Communicates with surrounding districts to retrieve and provide Special Education documents.
• Attends meetings and trainings to stay informed about job functions.
• Additional duties as required.
