Job summary

Summit Public Schools in the California Bay Area seeks a Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities and contribute to a high-achieving learning environment. The role includes assisting with literacy and numeracy, attendance documentation, and IEP-supported activities.

We value collaboration with teachers, families, and community resources, and require readiness to participate in IEP meetings and data-driven planning. CPR training is encouraged where possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or 48 college units or AA considered.
• Ability to work with students with disabilities and adapt materials.
• Experience with IEPs and BIP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare written materials to document student progress and mandated requirements.
• Provide instructional classroom support for students with disabilities under supervision.
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and track daily behavior.
• Participate in IEP meetings.
• Adapt curricula to address individual learning needs per teacher direction.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and community resources.
• Use data to inform decisions about student performance.
• Consult with Case Manager about student progress.
• Engage in professional development on paraprofessional services and IEP implementation.
