Job summary

Edinburg CISD is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students under the direct supervision of the assigned teacher and campus principal. Qualifications

• TEA certification requirements.
• No Child Left Behind paraprofessional criteria (2 years college or an associate degree or approved knowledge in reading/writing/mathematics).
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Ability to work with children with disabilities.
• Ability to manage time and organize work.
• Ability to communicate with parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with IEP tasks and classroom activities.
• Help with physical tasks and transitions under supervision.
• Reinforce material and prepare instructional materials with the teacher.
• Supervise students during meals, arrivals, and bus routines.
• Maintain safe, orderly classroom and confidentiality.
