Job summary

Drew Central School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities at district-wide locations in Monticello, Arkansas. The role requires working with individuals or small groups and assisting with behavior management and data recording.

Qualifications include an Associate degree, 60 college credits, or ParaPro Praxis passing score, plus ability to support students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree, 60 college credit hours, or passing score on ParaPro Praxis exam
• Ability to work with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual or small group instruction.
• Assist in implementing behavior management activities.
• Perform clerical duties which may include collection and recording of data, preparing classroom materials, and entering data into a computer program.
• Assist with feeding, toileting, daily living skills, and physical activities, such as lifting and transferring students to and from wheelchairs.
• Attend conferences, as deemed appropriate/necessary.
• Attend appropriate training sessions. If applicable, annually obtain specified number of professional development hours.
• Use, with proper training, assistive technology devices.
• Accompany student to general education classroom, cafeteria, playground, restroom, and or other locations on the school campus.
• Participate in community basedinstruction activities.
• Conduct student programing assessments and/or screenings, per instrument administration guidelines/evaluator qualifications.
• Other duties as assigned.
