Job summary

Bryant Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to support teachers and certified staff in implementing instruction and related services for students with disabilities. The role operates under the guidance of teachers and school therapists.

You will supervise students in classrooms and on field trips, assist with small-group tutoring, manage assistive devices, monitor progress, and help with therapeutic activities and medications after proper training.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• Previous experience working with children or adults with disabilities is preferred.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks.
• Must meet all state and district requirements for the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide extra assistance to students with disabilities.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, elective classes, and gymnasiums, or on field trips.
• Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage.
• Observe students' performance and record progress to assess development.
