Job summary

Columbian Elementary in Carthage, Missouri is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist the special services teacher and support students in speech-related activities. Qualifications

• Eligible with one of: 60 college credit hours, Associate’s degree or higher, Missouri ParaPro Assessment passing score (before 2013-09-23), Missouri Paraprofessional Assessment passing score (after 2013-09-23), or completed Missouri’s 20-hour online substitute training program.
• Experience in working with disabled populations preferred.
• Role supports the special services teacher and students assigned to that teacher.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials as assigned and provide services to students as assigned.
• Assist students in moving about the building and completing assignments.
• Demonstrate knowledge in working with disabled population and communicate effectively with staff and students.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
