Job summary

Byron Public Schools is seeking highly qualified Special Education Paraprofessionals to work with and supervise students for the 2026-2027 school year. Hours are 7:30 am - 3:00 pm and will follow the school calendar.

Applicants should be willing to adapt to student needs - socially and academically, be solution-oriented, enjoy being around young children and/or young adults, accept direction and be self-directed, and work in a collaborative environment. Pay Range: $19-$20.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be prepared to supervise and support students in various settings.
• Ability to adapt to student needs and classroom routines.
• Capable of working collaboratively with teachers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students in daily classroom activities and transitions.
• Assist with behavior management and safety during supervision.
• Coordinate with teachers to implement instruction and supports.
