Job Summary:
The Special Day School Paraeducator supports the supervision, care, and instruction of students with social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities within a special day school setting. This role assists in implementing individualized education plans that address social/emotional, safety, health, and academic needs. A summary of responsibilities include supporting behavior intervention plans, monitoring and documenting student behavior, collecting and reporting data, and communicating relevant information to school personnel, all under the guidance of a special education teacher.
Responsible to : Teacher or designee
Terms of Employment: Salary, work schedule, and vacation to be established by the SEKESC Board of Directors and Executive Director.
Salary: Determined by the Board and the Executive Director. Evaluation: Job performance is to be evaluated annually by the Teacher. Classification: Classified
Job Status : Non-Exempt (FLSA)
