Job summary

Gull Lake Community Schools is seeking a Support Staff – LRE Special Education Paraprofessional for the High School to provide direct support to students under administrator supervision. Requirements include an associate degree or two years of college or ETS Parapro; strong written and verbal communication; proven collaboration and teamwork; and experience with students, staff and families.

Start ASAP, Monday–Friday 7:15 a.m.–2:45 p.m. Salary $17.64 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant higher education credential per district policy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist high school students in classroom, individually or in small groups.
• Support educational objectives as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain student information and records.
• Work independently and with administrators and teachers as needed.
• Provide individual assistance with assignments.
• Plan and organize work and maintain good work habits.
• May need to lift and physically redirect students.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
