Garfield School District No. RE-2 is seeking a full-time paraprofessional at Rifle High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports special education teachers, assists with instruction, medical needs and documentation, and may involve daily living tasks and behavior management. Strong community relations are encouraged.

The position is 34 hours per week across 153 days per year, with in-district pay range described below and a comprehensive benefits package for staff.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting students in special education settings.
• Assist with daily living activities and health needs.
• Provide documentation support to teachers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and health-related tasks for special education students.
• Support daily activities such as toileting, feeding and life skills instruction; assist with behavior management as needed.
• Promote and maintain positive relationships with students, families and school staff.
