Job summary

Qualifications

• NH Paraeducator I or II certification or eligibility for certification.
• NH Paraeducator II certification is required for elementary/middle school positions.
• Experience with children in a professional/school setting.
• Current CPI or Safety Care certification.
• Knowledge of autism, emotional and behavioral disorders.
• Knowledge of reading, writing, mathematics, behavior management, life skills, and educational professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide student assistance under the guidance of Special Education Teachers.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Assist with developing skills developmentally appropriate for each student.
• Support instruction as specified in state educator certification.
• Maintain confidentiality and effective multi-tasking within a classroom setting.
