Job summary

American Leadership Academy is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year at the Mesa North High School campus in the East Valley. Candidate must possess, or be willing to obtain, an Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities include assisting with IEPs, supporting instruction, and maintaining a positive classroom environment in collaboration with SPED and general education staff.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with SPED team and teachers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEPs for students with disabilities under the SPED Teacher guidance.
• Support delivery of instruction and adapt materials for diverse student needs.
• Maintain a positive, orderly classroom and promote respectful behavior.
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance as needed to students.
• Observe and document student progress and report to SPED Teacher.
