FORT ZUMWALT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students in a resource or self-contained room under a teacher’s supervision. The role involves assisting with instruction, monitoring during IEP meetings, and helping with administrative tasks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, experience with children, and the ability to obtain substitute teacher certification; preference given to candidates with 60 college hours and a substitute certification.

Responsabilités

• Assist the special education teacher with instruction.
• Monitor the classroom during IEP meetings and staffings (sub-certification or teaching certification required to monitor).
• Assist with administrative tasks (grading papers, phone calls).
• Assist with the physical care of students as needed (e.g., diapering, bathroom, feeding).
