Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Good command of the English language.

• ParaPro or associate's degree eligible for Title-1 paraprofessional positions only.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce learning for individual students or small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Help devise strategies based on students' needs and abilities.
• Assist students with equipment or instructional materials.
• Guide independent, enrichment, and remedial work.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, and field trips.
• Support large group activities as needed by the special education teacher.
• Assist with reading, writing, math and other forms of communication with students.
• Monitor progress and document findings for the teacher; assist with testing and make-up work.
