Accel in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with diverse learning, communication, and behavioral needs in a structured classroom. You will work closely with the classroom teacher, assisting with IEP goals, data collection, and implementing behavior plans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Compassion, dependability and a desire to support students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Help students build independence through emotional regulation, social skills, and IEP goals.
• Follow behavior intervention plans with consistency and compassion.
• Take real-time data throughout the day documenting progress and behaviors for IEPs.
• Set up and maintain centers, stations, and instructional materials for lessons.
• Assist with personal hygiene and toilet routines.
• Assist with meal preparation and prescribed feeding programs as needed.
• Assist with transitions between activities and classrooms.
• Collaborate with the teacher on lesson plans and paperwork to keep the classroom running smoothly.
