Job summary

Toms River Regional Schools is seeking Special Education Paraprofessionals (Tier II) to support classroom activities and guide student participation. This role involves working 5.75 hours per day over 180 school days with the opportunity to accumulate sick days.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, knowledge of computer software, and effective communication skills, with previous college experience preferred. This is a contracted position without health benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and knowledge of computer software required.
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
• 2 years or 30 hours of college experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates implementation of academic programs, class work, and assessments.
• Interacts daily with students and staff for attendance and program tracking.
• Maintains a positive classroom environment and monitors student behavior.
• Maintains confidentiality of co-workers, children, and families.
