Job summary

Gate City Charter Academy in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Title 1 paraprofessional to support students with diverse needs. You will assist in implementing IEP/504-based instructional strategies and provide 1:1 or small-group support under the special education team.

The role emphasizes whole-student development, collaboration with teachers, and compliance documentation. Prior experience with disabilities and behavior modification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess student abilities and provide instructional and behavioral assistance for students in accordance with their IEP and/or their 504-behavior plan as directed by the special education team.
• Commit to educating the whole student – academically, morally, and socially.
• Implement result-driven curriculum and instruction specially designed to meet the unique needs of each student resulting from his/her disability such as, resource room, inclusion and/or pullout services.
• Attend professional development, specialized trainings and IEP meetings with special education team and parents as required.
• Assist with the required compliance documentation.
