Requirements

In order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified prior to your start date. To be considered Highly Qualified, you must have ONE of the following: a Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's Degree, or 60+ hours of post-secondary education, or a Passing Score on the ParaPro Exam. Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. (Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college or a copy of the ParaPro Exam report.)
