Job summary

South Washington County Schools seeks a District Special Education Flex Paraprofessional at Liberty Ridge Elementary School for the current school year. The role provides instructional and behavioral support under a licensed teacher, with 9:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. hours and a ½ hour lunch.

Starting pay is $22.70 per hour. A HS diploma is required; candidates may qualify for an extra $0.50/hour after Highly Qualified status. Internal candidates must meet criteria at submission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet District 833 Highly Qualified requirements.
• Possess the skills to reinforce math, reading, and writing.
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.
• Proven teamwork, confidentiality, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and/or behavioral support to special education students under the direction of a licensed teacher.
• Assist in implementing district policies including safety, confidentiality, and data collection.
• Support students in academic areas and basic daily living activities as needed.
• Assist with behavior management techniques and supervise students.
• Collect and record student data as directed by the supervising teacher.
