Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to provide instructional assistance in K-12 settings in Minneapolis, MN. You\'ll support students, assist with lesson assignments, and work with teachers and families to maximize student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent, or 2 years post secondary and at least 60 completed credits OR Paraprofessional Credential through Minnesota Department of Education (such as passing score on ParaPro or ParaEducator Assessments or credentialed on the PELSB rubric)

Responsibilities

• Work with small groups of students in an instructional capacity.
• Assist and provide support for students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts.
• Assist in maintaining appropriate classroom environment to ensure a safe and positive learning experience.
• Monitor individual students in the classroom, library, or during playground activities to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
• Monitor and assist students during various classroom activities (art, literacy, bathroom, fine motor skills).
• Maintain confidentiality in all correspondence and communications.
• Support special needs learners and modifies instruction as directed.
• Assist in maintaining appropriate student conduct.
• Maintain discipline in the absence of the teacher.
• Perform other related duties as assigned/required by teacher(s), site, or district administrator(s).
