Job summary

Lakeland Joint School District is accepting applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional / Crossing Guard at John Brown Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The position combines paraprofessional duties (6.5 hours) with crossing guard duties (0.5 hour) each school day, five days a week.

Pay ranges from $16.62 to $18.82 per hour, DOE, with a full benefits package including PERSI retirement, medical, dental, and sick leave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA/AS degree or two years of college coursework required.
• Passing Idaho Paraprofessional Assessment or Praxis test required.
• Experience working with school-age children preferred.
• Ability to work under the direction of the principal and/or classroom teacher.
