Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking dedicated Paraeducators and Teaching Assistants to join our team in Kingston, PA. You will support students with special needs in a classroom setting, assisting teachers, managing materials, and facilitating positive learning environments throughout the school year.

Ideal candidates have a passion for working with students, are prepared to assist across activities of daily living, and may be asked to transport students when qualified.

Qualifications

• Education: minimum of a 1-year degree; preference for Early Childhood degrees; paraprofessional certification considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring as scheduled.
• Assist with classroom management and organize instructional materials.
• Communicate with teachers and district staff about student needs.
• Support parental involvement activities.
• Assist students across educational settings and supervise/escort as needed.
• Help students use and maintain augmentative communication devices.

Education
