Job summary

Keystone Learning Services is seeking a Paraeducator to support teachers in delivering high-quality special education programs. The paraeducator will free the teacher from routine tasks by assisting in student instruction, interventions, and supervision.

• Confidentiality and teamwork are essential.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities in children is important for working with students.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in activities planned by the teacher.
• Provide individual academic assistance and supervision.
• Supervise students in general education classrooms, resource rooms, playground, lunchroom, and other environments.
• Carry out behavior intervention plans or student assistance plans developed by supervising teachers or IEP team.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials.
• Collect student performance data as directed by teachers and keep records.
