Job summary

Jeffco Public Schools’ Pomona High School is seeking a Para Educ - Sub to support students with disabilities in center-based programs. This hourly, nonexempt role is temporary, with a desired start date of 09/23/2026 and a 0.125 FTE workload (1 hour/day, 260 days/year).

Responsibilities include providing instructional and behavioral support, assisting in IEP implementation, preparing materials, supervising lunch/recess/bus, assisting with health needs, applying de-escalation strategies,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 1 year of related K-12 experience preferred.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students in the classroom.
• Assist in implementing IEPs and preparing materials.
• Supervise lunch, recess, and bus duties; manage health-related tasks.
• Apply de-escalation strategies and follow district trainings.
• Document progress data and maintain confidentiality.
