The position requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 130 pounds, and successful completion of the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment. Immediate start date and a $2,000 stipend are included.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an organized setting.
• Ability to lift 130 pounds.
• Pass the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment (KPA) before employment.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individuals or small groups, reinforcing instruction and tracking progress.
• Participate in instructional team activities and remediation efforts.
• Assist in preparing/organizing lessons and scoring tests per guidelines.
• Record and monitor student progress and English proficiency as needed.
• Support teacher with materials, setup, and classroom operations.
• Supervise students in labs, monitor behavior, and assist with safety protocols.
• Contact parents regarding absences and health/safety communications.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
