Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools at East Silver Spring Elementary School seeks a paraeducator to support students with IEPs in general education and specialized instructional settings. Work includes assisting with instructional activities and behavior management, under teacher supervision.

The position is part-time (4 hours daily, 12–4pm) with a wage range of $24.38–$40.17 per hour, and may require occasional outside duties. Training hours and probationary period apply.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with students in structured educational settings is preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support students with IEPs and varying needs in classroom settings.
• Assist with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Provide clerical support to teachers and staff as needed.
