Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a part-time paraeducator to support students with IEPs at Gaithersburg High School. You will assist with instructional activities, behavior management, and clerical tasks to help teachers across learning environments.

The role involves flexible scheduling, a six-month probation, and promotion from grade 13 to 14 after required training hours. Experience with Twice Exceptional and related services is valued.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and instructional strategies
• Ability to monitor and support student behavior
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Reading/writing/speaking English fluently
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and MS Office

• Support students with IEPs and alternate standards
• Assist with implementing instructional programs in various classrooms
• Provide classroom management and clerical support as needed
