Juneau School District is seeking a Support Staff/Special Education Paraeducator to work primarily with students in BEST, DEC-C, DEC, or Transitions programs at Harborview Elementary. The role emphasizes instructional support, data collection, and behavior management in a collaborative school setting.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma.
• Preference for some prior experience with school-age children.
• CPR/First Aid and district-provided behavior management training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Presents material and activities to improve skills in assigned areas (reading, writing, math, computers, vocational ed).
• Works individually or in small groups with students.
• Records grades and collects data on student progress or behavior.
